Electives Global proudly presents our Internal Medicine Elective Program, designed for medical students seeking to broaden their horizons and gain invaluable experience in a global healthcare setting. This program offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse medical practices, enhance your clinical skills, and connect with students and professionals from around the world.

An inquiring, analytical mind; an unquenchable thirst for new knowledge; and a heartfelt compassion for the ailing - these are prominent traits among the committed clinicians who have preserved the passion for medicine. - Lois DeBakey, Ph.D

Our program is uniquely positioned to offer rich learning experience in internal medicine, and particularly in the context of medical conditions prevalent in developing countries. These conditions, often not seen or less common in the developed world, provide a rare and invaluable perspective in medical education, especially in tropical medicine. Participants of our program have consistently appreciated the diversity of medical conditions they encounter and the profound insights they gain. One of our participants, Andrew, rightly stated “Walking through the ward is like walking through the entire Harrison’s textbook!”
